KLA നിവേദനം നല്‍കി:
കേരള കോമണ്‍ പൂള്‍ ലൈബ്രറി റൂള്‍സ് ഭേദഗതി ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഗവര്‍മെണ്ട് തീരുമാനം പുനപരിശോധിക്കണം എന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ട് കേരള ലൈബ്രറി അസോസിയേഷന്‍ (KLA) ബഹു: വിദ്യഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രിക്ക്‌ നിവേദനം സമര്‍പ്പിച്ചു. KLA ഭാരവാഹികല്ക്ക് നന്ദി.

The newly proposed Kerala Common Pool Librarian Act
The subject committee of MLA's of Kerala Legislative Assembly proposed to amend the present set up of posts in various positions of librarians in Kerala Govt. The proposed Act restricts the fourth grade as the Entry Cadre and appointments to all other grades will be only through promotion based on seniority in service. The basic qualification for the post will be certificate course in LIS.
The newly proposed amendments to common pool librarian service undoubtedly backfire the evolving library setup of Kerala. Especially in the dawn of digital libraries and electronic information this amendment shall hinder the library sector as a whole.
So it is our responsibility to make a move against this, and the only way in front of us is to raise an objection and built up a collective con sense in our favour among the legislators. So the first thing we should do is to make a M.L.A aware of the fallacies in the amendment and make him/her to raise an objection in the forth coming assembly meeting. So, if u have any contact with any M.L.A with a potential to analyze and take up this matter, kindly let us know..
